The Super Falcons are currently ranked 36th in the latest FIFA women’s ranking, which was released by FIFA on Thursday morning. Despite winning a record-extending 10th title at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco last month, Nigeria's position in the ranking has not changed.
Under the guidance of coach Justine Madugu, the team maintains its status as the top-ranked team in Africa, ahead of Banyana Banyana from South Africa, the Atlas Lionesses from Morocco, the Copper Queens from Zambia, and the Indomitable Lionesses from Cameroon.
Spain has reclaimed the top spot in the global ranking after finishing second at the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025. The United States has dropped to second place, while Sweden remains in third.
The next FIFA Women’s World Ranking is scheduled to be released on December 11, 2025.
