Ossai Ovie Success, an aide to the Governor of Delta State, has criticized music star Davido and his wife, Chioma, for their upcoming wedding in Miami, Florida. The couple, who had a lavish traditional wedding last year, is now planning to host an extravagant celebration in Miami.
Expressing his views on Instagram, Ossai described the upcoming nuptials as a waste of money. He voiced his disappointment, stating that having a lot of money does not justify careless spending. He emphasized that even billionaires like Dangote, Elon Musk, and Mark Zuckerberg would not squander money in such a manner. Ossai questioned the necessity of having a white wedding in Florida so long after their opulent traditional ceremony.
“Davido and Chioma’s white wedding this weekend in Miami is a waste of money, and I am disappointed
Having too much money doesn’t mean you should carelessly spend it.
Dangote, Ossai Ovie Success, Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg won’t waste money like this.
What is the essence of a white wedding in Florida when your lavish traditional marriage is over a year?
I am really disappointed”.
Ossai Success has gained popularity on social media over the past year for his tendency to criticize celebrities and their spouses.
Last year, he condemned singer Paul Okoye for what he deemed disrespectful behavior towards his in-laws during his traditional wedding. Ossai pointed out a photo of the singer wearing a cap while an elder prayed for him and his wife, arguing that it was inappropriate. He noted that today's youth often lack respect, attributing this to their wealth.
Ossai also criticized Moses Bliss for a photo he posted with his then-fiancée after she was called to the bar. He claimed that their actions contradicted Christian values and accused him of fornication.
Additionally, Ossai reprimanded gospel musician Theophilus Sunday over a pre-wedding photo shoot, stating that holding the waist of a woman who is not his wife is traditionally taboo and morally wrong in Christianity.
In March, Ossai expressed disappointment in actress Ini Edo after she attended a party in Ghana just one day after her father's burial. He criticized her actions, calling them an inappropriate way to mourn.
When singer 2Baba announced his separation from Annie, Ossai took issue with the timing of his announcement, suggesting that the singer should have waited for a more suitable moment to share the news.
Finally, Ossai also criticized actor Charles Okocha for allowing his wife to wear a revealing outfit to an event. He expressed his disappointment, emphasizing that married women should dress modestly in public.
