BREAKING: Pastor Amos Isah from Abuja is in police custody for the alleged r*pe of a 14-year-old girl.

Pastor Amos Isah, the founder and lead pastor of the Prophetic Victory Voice of Fire Ministry in Gwagwalada, Abuja, was arrested and detained by the Federal Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) last week. He faces allegations of raping a 14-year-old girl, a situation that has sent shockwaves through the community, given his reputation for charismatic sermons and claims of divine power.

His church, located behind Noble Noel Academy and opposite the Gwagwalada Market in Abuja, has been a center of worship for many local residents. A review of his Facebook page by SaharaReporters indicates that Isah often shares messages focused on holiness and moral integrity.

According to the reports, the last service he conducted at his church occurred on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. While a service was held the following day, June 19, Pastor Isah was notably absent from the pulpit. His Facebook page describes his mission as one to "touch lives as the Holy Spirit leads because God has given me power."

On June 15, Father’s Day, Isah posted a message on Facebook, saying, “Dear God, thank you for the gift of fatherhood. We pray for all fathers and those hoping to become fathers. May You give them the strength to be a vessel of Your love. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY.” In another post on June 11, he quoted Proverbs 28:1 (NASB): “The wicked flee when no one is pursuing, but the righteous are bold as a lion,” emphasizing the need for the Holy Spirit's strength and courage in standing up for Jesus.

However, authorities have informed SaharaReporters that he allegedly abused his spiritual influence to exploit a minor. Sources within the FCID confirm that the victim, the 14-year-old girl, was sexually assaulted by Isah, leading to his arrest.

Attempts to obtain a comment from the cleric were unsuccessful as he did not respond to phone calls. It has also been reported that some police officers may have been attempting to shield the pastor from public scrutiny. Investigators are handling the case with a degree of secrecy due to the sensitive nature of the allegations and the suspect’s position as a religious leader.
