Nollywood actress and the mother of music star Portable’s child, Omobolarinde Akinyanju, popularly known as Ashabi, has caused a buzz with her impressive entrance at her movie premiere.
On Sunday, Ashabi hosted the premiere of her new film, The Deputy, which was attended by her friends and supporters. A video from the event has been circulating online, showing Ashabi making her grand entrance accompanied by female bouncers. She embraced a glamorous, billionaire-style look as she walked confidently into the venue, holding a walking stick while the crowd cheered her on.
The video has created a buzz online, with many people commenting on the situation involving her husband, who is currently detained by the Kwara police. According to Frukem's report on Monday, the Kwara State police arrested Portable for alleged criminal defamation against Fuji singer Saheed Osupa. He faces several charges, including threats to life, incitement, character assassination, criminal defamation, conduct likely to cause a breach of peace, and the use of abusive and insulting language.
Portable was remanded in a correctional facility after he failed to meet his bail conditions, which required N1 million and two sureties, one of whom must be the Chairman of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN). His case has been adjourned until April 30, 2025.
