Nollywood actress Chika Ike has firmly denied reports claiming she is expecting a child with Ned Nwoko, the husband of her colleague Regina Daniels. A few weeks ago, Frukemtv reported that Chika Ike surprised many by announcing her pregnancy through a series of maternity photos. However, early this week, rumors circulated that Ned Nwoko is the father of the child and that he plans to make Chika his seventh wife.

IIn a detailed statement on her Instagram page, actress Chika addressed recent rumors, emphasizing that similar unfounded claims have circulated about her for years, yet she has typically chosen not to respond. Chika remarked that the public's understanding of her is limited, as she selectively discloses information about her life. 

She clarified that Ned is not the father of her child and firmly stated that she will not become his seventh wife, expressing that polygamy is not aligned with her values. Chika indicated that she has been pregnant for several months, and despite this, the public remained unaware until her recent announcement. 

She addressed those spreading rumors, encouraging them to continue fabricating stories, while she remains unfazed by such speculation, recognizing it as part of her chosen profession. Chika underscored that the primary reason for her response is the impact on her child, stating, "My privacy is my peace, and no one can disrupt my tranquility. I am embracing the joy of my pregnancy, and that is my foremost priority at this time.”

In 2020, rumors were suggesting that Ned Nwoko was involved in a relationship with Chika Ike. Speculation circulated that he intended to take her as his seventh wife; however, he subsequently refuted these claims. Additionally, reports emerged indicating that Rita Daniels, the mother of actress Regina Daniels, had a conflict with Chika Ike regarding this issue, a claim that was also denied by Rita during an interview with BBC Pidgin. Chika Ike further encouraged the public to dismiss the unfounded rumors concerning her alleged affair with Ned Nwoko.
