Police arrest 60-year-old man for ‘defiling’ 13-year-old girl
A 60-year-old man simply identified as Ogheneovo has been arrested by the Police in Ovwian/Aladja Division for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old girl in Ovwian community in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.
When contacted for comments, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, confirmed the report in a chat with newsmen in Warri on Saturday.
DSP Onovwakpoyeya said, “Yes. It’s true. A 60-year-old man defiled a 13-year-old girl.”
She noted that case has been transferred to the Delta State Police Command for further interrogation as investigation into the matter continues.
It was learnt that the man allegedly lured the minor into his apartment with money and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.
